Eco-cap Project
It is believed that there are about 6,000 children who can be saved per day if given a vaccine. Through this project, 800 bottle caps collected from sorted garbage are worth one dose of polio vaccine. This is also an eco-friendly effort as removing 400 bottle caps from the incineration waste stream saves about 3,150 g of CO2 emissions.
The bottle cap sorting and collection project we have implemented at each workplace is being promoted with the cooperation of local residents and volunteer support organizations through the Luli Project. By donating vaccines through this project, we are contributing to both society and environmental protection.

Participation in the Luli Program

The Schneider Electric Foundation was founded with the goal of providing education and training opportunities for disadvantaged youth through national organizations.
The policy of the Luli Program is to solicit all employees’ participation and to provide support for the project both financially and through specific activities.
Currently, the Schneider group is conducting a variety of activities in Japan targeting children’s institutions.

Family Company Tour
The first company tour was held in 2010 when local employees’ families were invited to tour the Izumi Development Office. This initiative was conducted as part of our corporate social responsibility in an effort to increase communication at home and to increase these families’ understanding of our products for industrial automation (business-to-business), which most people are unfamiliar with. Visitors on the tour witnessed the in-house development and manufacture of our products as well as various services, social projects, and the role of our office while experiencing its atmosphere.
On the same day, the Summer Festival was held on the theme of “Friendship,” which was timely to consider how friendship was deepened between the company and the visiting families.

Cleaning around the Izumi Development Office
Employees in Digital’s Izumi Development Office perform a clean-up around the office every year on weekends between April and October. This effort raises employee awareness of the environment while helping to protect the local environment.
